Lentil soup Cuban style
1 bag of Goya lentils
2-3 garlic cloves crushed
1 green pepper
Saute in Olive Oil the green pepper, garlic, tomotoe, onions.
Bring to a boil the lentils with vegetable stock.
Add the vino seco, 1/2 tea spoon of cummin, 1/4 teaspoon of oregano, two stands of bay leaves.
Make sure you add vegetables carrots, potaoes, celelry if you wish.
30 minutes to 40 minutes bring to a low flame for 5 minutes before serving
My husband Tony favorite soup and it brings him back to his child like memories. I never iiked lentil soup until he taught me to make it Cuban style.
